PAUL F. CALLAHAN
Paul F. Callahan Age 58 of Claymont,
DE, formerly of Gladwyne, PA, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2004, at
the Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.
Son of the late Francis X. and Betty Flynn
Callahan, Paul was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1945. He served in the U.S. Marines
during the Vietnam War. He was a proud member of the Delaware Veterans Post
#1.
He was the former food and beverage manager of
the Blue & Gold Club at the University of Delaware. He owned Callahan's
Irish Pub in Wilmington and Callahan's Irish Tavern in the Tri-State Mall.
He was a former president of the Gladwyne VFW.
He is survived by his sister, Betty Anne Vasser
of Margate, NJ; nephew, Edward
Vasser of Manhattan, NY; and his guardian angel of 20 years, Ruth Sharp of
Claymont.
A funeral mass was offered at 10:30 am on
Thursday, February 26, at St. John Vianney Church, Youngsford &
Conshohocken State Rds., Gladwyne, PA.
Interment was at St. Denis Cemetery in Havertown,
PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Delaware Veterans
Inc., Post #1, 3225 Veterans Dr., Wilmington, DE 19810.
