C. STERLING CANNON
C. Sterling Cannon Age
78, A 60-year resident of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Millsboro, died March
3, 2003 in the Wilmington Hospital.
Sterling was born in Centreville,
MD to the late Charles and Justina Hunter Cannon. He was a timekeeper for
Sun Oil in Marcus Hook, PA for over 40 years, retiring in 1984. He was a
member of Delaware Veterans Post #1, where he was a newsletter editor and
most recently a reporter, and the Sun Honor Club.
Sterling was an
avid gardener, and he enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his wife of 40
years, Ida M. Brown Cannon;
Sterling was also survived by
2 stepsons, Gary (Patty) Middleton of Morristown, NJ and Calvin (Pam) Middleton
of Cumberland, MD; brother, Marion Cannon of Lewes; niece, Sharon Jester of
Federalsburg, MD; 3 grandchildren, Jason, Matthew and Linnea Middleton; and
1 great grandson, Damon Middleton.
There was a funeral service at
10 am on Friday, March 7 at the ROBERT MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 825 Main
Street, Trainer, PA. Interment will
be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Aston, PA. on Friday, March 8th.
